Stressful Singaporean Kids

Yes. This is a normal typical picture of what kids are doing nowadays. Looking at the picture on the left, you can see 2 kids having their breakfast with 2 set of newspaper on the table prepared for them.

They are actually Christine's cousins, according to her. Every morning after they finished their breakfast they are suppose to do reading with the newspaper provided for them. Beside this, they are learning abacus and the boy is a genius.

Are the newer generation kids being deprive out of their childhood with so many classes and courses? Kids, I see in Kumon are learning golf, piano, ballet and having lots and lots of classes. Sigh. Kids born to compete?
